We are currently looking for a Junior Risk Manager – Financial Assets to support our growing operations in the Risk Management department.

Job Specification

  • Support the development, implementation and maintenance of risk models for financial asset investment fund structures (e.g. incl. OTC derivatives);
  • Prepare the regular / daily risk reporting of funds, with focus on the global exposure (Value at Risk and Commitment) and liquidity risk.
  • Monitor, analyse and report according to defined internal standards and processes and in line with regulatory requirements;
  • Prepare and monitor Risk Profiles;
  • Contribute to new projects (e.g. on-boarding of new funds, implementation of new regulatory requirements, process improvements);
  • Interact and build strong relationships with various internal and external stakeholders (e.g. clients, portfolio managers, auditors).
  • University degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. finance, mathematics, economics);
  • First professional experience in the field of risk management will be considered as an asset;
  • Good with numbers, analytical and persistent with the eye for the detail;
  • Knowledge of financial products incl. derivatives. Experience with risk analysis and models (VaR, backtesting, stress testing) as well as valuation models of financial products is an advantage;
  • Strong willingness to enhance personal knowledge about investment products;
  • Good command of MS Office (especially Excel). Programming skills (e.g. VBA) and knowledge of risk systems or data providers are a strong asset;
  • Curiosity and desire for new challenges as well as agility, stress-resilience and flexibility;
  • High self-motivation with strong ability to work within a team as well as on own initiative; 
  • Strong communication and organisational skills;
  • Proficiency in English; German knowledge is considered an advantage.
