We are currently looking for a Risk Officer for Alternative Investments to support our growing operations in the Alternative Investments department.

Job Specification

  • Assist in performing the regular Risk and Investment Compliance checks for the AIFs, focusing on Real Estate, Private Equity, Private Debt, and Infrastructure strategies.
  • Escalate any issues to the Senior Risk Officer For Alternative Investments based in Luxembourg.
  • Prepare the regulatory reporting for the CSSF (e.g., AIFMD Annex IV) and other regulators as applicable.
  • Assist in establishing the risk profile of the AIFs.
  • Eligibility assessment of products and strategies within the investment portfolios.
  • Assist in reviewing the Risk Management Policies/Procedures, the Private Placement Memorandums, the Service Level Agreements, and any other documents in line with client requirements.
  • Actively support the portfolio management function by performing pre-trade Risk and Investment compliance checks.
  • Communicating and managing relationships with clients and external parties relating to the Fund’s setup.
  • Participation in different projects (e.g. SFDR / Sustainability Risk implementation).
  • Masters in Finance / Economics.
  • Good knowledge of risk management techniques, regulatory framework, and financial products.
  • Appetite for professional certifications (e.g. FRM, CFA, etc.).
  • 1-3 year’s previous experience in audit and/or risk management (incl. investment restrictions monitoring).
  • Interested in the Real Estate, Private Equity, Private Debt, and Infrastructure strategies. Previous experience with those asset classes would be considered as a plus.
  • Team spirit and communication skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to manage various tasks.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel (good knowledge of VBA would be considered as a plus).
  • High standards of quality and numerical accuracy.
