The Role:

Apex has a requirement for a full-time data analyst. The data analyst will be responsible for collating and analyzing data within the Apex PMO & IT Teams. The Data Analyst will report into the Head of Project Management.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage and co-ordinate data gathering, analysis and reporting for PMO & IT depts;
  • Conduct gap analysis of existing vs future state PMO and deliver requirements for future state PMO;
  • Support budget preparation activities for PMO & IT depts – including gathering business project requirements for the upcoming year;
  • Track and maintain PMO & IT actual costs to plan/budget, highlighting variances & providing recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance;
  • Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the functions.

 

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Proven working experience as an analyst including financial analysis;
  • Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications;
  • Hands on experience with statistical analysis;
  • Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills;
  • Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and information analysis.

Key Performance indicators:

  • Actual costs in line with plan/budget;
  • Financial reporting in place;
  • Future requirements for PMO in place;
  • Good engagement with Head of PM, COO & Finance Dept;
  • Detail oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy;
  • Organizational skills.
