Role: Portfolio Management Officer for Alternative Investments
Location: Hesperange, Luxembourg

We are currently looking for a Portfolio Management Officer for Alternative Investments to support our growing operations in the Alternative Investments department.

Job Specification

  • Execution of Portfolio Management duties with regard to Alternative Investments, especially, but not limited to, Private Equity, Real Estate and Private Debt. This includes working with external advisors, reviewing investments, considering various strategies and restrictions, analysing performance data as well as monitoring financials
  • Close collaboration with the investment advisors
  • Monitoring of investment strategies.
  • Perform detailed checks on presented investments and organize the respective investment committee meetings
  • Actively monitor the fund performance
  • Escalation of issues relating to performance, operations and compliance and legal concerns with regard to investments and portfolios
  • Evaluate pre-IC due diligence documentation of new prospective managers/deals.
  • Maintain deal flow database. Reconcile drawdowns, investments, capital calls and distribution)
  • Review due diligence and documentation and prepare investment memos on primary, co-investment and secondary deals. Conduct a rigorous, highly analytical evaluation process that assesses quantitative and qualitative factors and results in detailed investment memos.
  • Contribute to internal investment committee discussions and assist in responding to questions from investment committee members.
  • Preparation of reports to Senior Management Committee, Board of Directors of Fund and Board of Directors of the Management Company
  • Experience and knowledge of portfolio management for Real Assets, Venture Capital, Private Equity and Debt strategies
  • University degree or relevant professional qualifications, CAIA/CFA or similar considered as a plus
  • 2/3 years working experience within the funds industry
  • Profound knowledge of Luxembourg RE or PE structures and regulations (AIFMD)
  • Strong intellect with ability to understand complex issues quickly, grasp new concepts and ideas rapidly
  • Must be dynamic, highly organised, detail oriented, and self-motivated with commitment to quality
  • Must have ability to work as part of a team in a client focused, high quality service environment
  • Fluent in English (both oral and written) and good interpersonal skills
