Apex Supports Launch of 100 Women in Hedge Funds

On the 1^st November 2016, 100 Women in Hedge Funds hosts an event to mark the official launch of its newest location in Valletta, Malta. Paulianne Nwoko, Managing Director of Apex Fund Services (Malta) Ltd. and 100 Women in Hedge Funds Malta committee member, attends the launch which also hosts Her Excellency the President of Malta, held at the Malta Chamber of Commerce. This is the first in a series of events aimed at bringing together women who are actively involved in the financial industry in Malta. The committee aims to help bring opportunities for professionals in Malta to come together and learn from each other, whilst making the most of peer to peer opportunities.

Malta has a burgeoning investment community; women occupy positions in asset allocation, investment selection, due diligence, research, financial analysis, education and marketing. In its active local participation via Paulianne, Apex hopes to help create a local forum for women in this community to meet and learn from each other through educational events and other peer to peer opportunities.

100 Women in Hedge Funds, founded in 2001, is a global association of more than 15,000 professional women in the hedge fund industry. The non-profit organisation delivers educational programming, professional leverage initiatives and philanthropy through volunteer led efforts and peer to peer engagement.  Since establishment, 100 Women in Hedge Funds has hosted over 600 industry education events globally, raised over $40 million for worthy causes and connected more than 400 senior women through the Peer Advisory Groups.

The Apex group is proud to be supporting this event and taking an active part in the launch of the Malta 100 Women in Hedge Funds committee with our Malta Managing Director, Paulianne Nwoko, assuming a leading role locally.
