The Greenhouse Gas Protocol is revising its Scope 2 guidance for the first time since 2015, introducing changes that will affect how companies measure, match, and report electricity consumption.
The proposed update introduces stricter rules on temporal granularity, renewable energy claims, and market boundaries, and these changes should also be viewed alongside the fourth national climate change assessment.
