On 7 February 2023, the Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”) Division of Examinations (the “Division”) published its <a href=”https://www.sec.gov/files/2023-exam-priorities.pdf”>2023 examination priorities</a>. For Registered Investment Advisers (“RIA”), the significant focus areas will be familiar, but with a deeper focus on crypto assets and the Marketing Rule.
On October 25, 2022, the Financial Conduct Authority (“FCA”) issued a Consultation Paper aimed at fighting greenwashing on investment products. The consultation ran from October 25, 2022 to January 23, 2023 and built on an earlier Discussion Paper on Sustainability Disclosure Requirements.
