On April 20, 2023, the European Parliament gave its approval to a groundbreaking proposal: the 'Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation' ("MiCA"). This comprehensive Regulation aims to safeguard investors, promote financial stability, and cultivate innovation. MiCA's far-reaching impact will be felt through the establishment of unified guidelines for both Crypto-Asset Service Providers ("CASPs") and issuers, effectively superseding the existing fragmented national frameworks scattered across the European Union.
