One of the key tools in this endeavor is the Legal Entity Identifier (“LEI“), a unique 20-character alphanumeric code used to identify distinct legal entities that participate in financial transactions. The goal of LEIs is to improve the transparency and efficiency of the global financial system by uniquely identifying parties involved in financial transactions worldwide.
